Easter in the Woods: Andover Trees Announces Spring Activities for Families and Nature Lovers
Andover, Hampshire – 12th March 2026 – Local environmental charity Andover Trees United is inviting the community to celebrate the arrival of spring with a series of engaging Easter activities in the woodland. Taking place across Monday 30 March and Monday 6 April 2026, the events offer families, adults and young explorers the chance to connect with nature, learn new skills and enjoy the woodland at one of the most beautiful times of the year.
With hands-on activities ranging from nature discovery to traditional crafts, the Easter programme reflects the charity’s mission to help people of all ages experience, understand and protect the natural world.
Easter Family Event – MONDAY 30 March 2026
Families are invited to kick off the Easter celebrations with a special Easter-themed Tall Tales & Seasonal Stories nature session in the woodland. Designed for children and their families, the morning will include egg dying and an easter egg hunt, seasonal activities and interactive storytelling.
It’s a chance for children to step away from screens, explore the outdoors and build a lasting connection with nature whilst celebrating Easter.

Traditional Egg Dyeing Workshop – MONDAY 30 March 2026
Running alongside the family activities, adults can take part in a unique Traditional Egg Dyeing Workshop led by craft expert Jolanta Rolt. Participants will learn the ancient Eastern European art of egg decorating, wrapping and dyeing eggs using traditional techniques to create beautiful, intricate designs. The session offers a relaxing and creative opportunity to explore heritage crafts while celebrating the symbolism of Easter.

Plant Detectives – Monday 6 April 2026
Young nature enthusiasts can also take part in Nature Detectives, an interactive session where children become woodland explorers, searching for clues and learning how plants support the wider woodland ecosystem.

All funds raised from these events go directly back into supporting Andover Trees United’s charitable mission helping to grow, protect and enhance local woodland habitats while creating opportunities for the community to learn about and experience nature.
