Become a Supporter of The Diamond Wood - Membership Is Open

Why our new membership matters and how you can help nature thrive

Nature doesn’t look after itself. It needs people. For more than a decade, Andover Trees United has been quietly growing something special in Andover. Not just trees, but connections. Connections between children and nature, neighbours and green spaces, people and a shared sense of care for the place they call home.

From planting the first trees to creating thriving wildlife habitats, our journey has always been powered by community. Now, we’re excited to take the next step by launching our new membership scheme. This is a simple, affordable way for more people to stand alongside us and help secure the future of the Diamond Wood and beyond.

Why membership and why now?

The Diamond Wood, including Harmony Woods is living proof of what happens when people come together with a shared purpose. What was once open land is now a growing community woodland, planted and cared for by local schools, families and volunteers. Thousands of children have learned about nature and climate through hands-on experiences outdoors. These lessons will last far longer than a single day in the woods.

But caring for woodland is long-term work. Trees need looking after. Habitats need protecting. Children need opportunities to learn outdoors. Communities need welcoming green spaces that support wellbeing.

Membership helps make all of this possible.

By joining, you’re helping us:

  • Care for and protect the Diamond Wood all year-round

  • Plant and nurture trees for future generations

  • Create and protect habitats for wildlife

  • Deliver outdoor learning for schools and young people

  • Run community volunteering and wellbeing activities

Crucially, membership provides unrestricted income, allowing us to respond quickly to local needs and plan confidently for the future.

Supporting nature, in a way that works for you

We’ve designed our membership to be inclusive, flexible and accessible, with options to suit different households and lifestyles. Memberships start from just £2 a month, with options including:

  • Junior membership

  • Individual membership

  • Couple membership

  • Family membership

  • Lifetime membership

  • Guardian of the Diamond Wood - our volunteer membership (free after two volunteer days)

  • Corporate Guardian membership

Members receive benefits such as nature guides, newsletters, discounts on workshops and invitations to get more involved. But at its heart, membership is about belonging. Belonging to a community and belonging to a shared commitment to care for nature.

Small actions. Lasting impact.

A few pounds a month might not feel like much but together, our members make extraordinary things happen.

They help children discover wildlife for the first time. They help volunteers care for trees through the seasons. They help ensure the Diamond Wood remains a place of learning and connection now and in the future.

As our founder Wendy Davis often says, nature has an incredible ability to bring people together. Membership is one of the most powerful ways you can be part of that story.
