Andover Trees United Launches New Membership Scheme To Help People And Nature Thrive Together
3rd March, 2026 - Andover, Hampshire - Andover Trees United has launched a new membership scheme inviting local people, families and businesses to play an active role in protecting nature, supporting young people and caring for the Diamond Wood.
The volunteer-led charity, founded in 2011, has spent more than a decade connecting children and communities with the natural world through tree planting, outdoor learning and conservation. The new membership scheme provides a simple, affordable way for supporters to help secure the long-term future of this work, with memberships starting from just £2 a month.
At the heart of Andover Trees United’s work is the Diamond Wood, a community woodland created and cared for by local schools, volunteers and families. Thousands of children have taken part in planting native trees, discovering wildlife and learning about biodiversity, helping transform the landscape into a thriving space for nature, wellbeing and education.
The membership scheme will generate vital unrestricted income, enabling the charity to continue delivering outdoor learning for schools, maintaining and expanding woodland habitats, and running welcoming volunteering and community activities throughout the year
Wendy Davis, Founder of Andover Trees United, said: “Nature has an incredible ability to bring people together and inspire care for the future. Our new membership scheme is about belonging. Belonging to a place, a community and a shared responsibility for the natural world. With thanks to the Big Lottery Fund, we have been able to launch this scheme to financially sustain the long term future of the Diamond Wood and Andover Trees. Every member helps us give children and young people meaningful experiences in nature and ensures the Diamond Wood can thrive for generations to come..”
Membership options include individual, junior, couple, family, volunteer and corporate memberships, with benefits such as nature guides, newsletters, discounts on workshops and opportunities to get involved. A free volunteer membership called Guardians of the Diamond Wood, is available after two volunteer days in a calendar year.
