Ten walkers complete Walk the Test Way for Andover Trees United
A huge congratulations and thank you to our team of ten walkers who took on Walk the Test Way on Sunday 27 September in support of Andover Trees United.
Elizabeth Scrace, Wendy Davis, Edward Yates, Matt Thomas, Annie Lowing, Samantha Jankowski, Daniel Ghita, Audrey Emmett, Michelle Hoskins and Lynette Lockington all stepped out for ATU, taking on routes through the Hampshire countryside to raise funds for our work with young people, schools and nature. And a special thank you to Ed’s mum Angela for not only driving him over so he could take part, but for taking part as well.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey Test, Walk the Test Way offers a range of walking distances, from five miles through to the full 25.5-mile route.
Every pound raised by our team will help support outdoor learning, woodland care, biodiversity and community activities at The Diamond Wood and Harmony Wood.
Wendy Davis, founder of Andover Trees United and one of this year’s walkers, said:
“I absolutely loved the experience. Walking through the Test Valley reminded me just how lucky we are to have such beautiful countryside on our doorstep.
“It was a brilliant day, made even better by knowing that every mile was helping support Andover Trees United’s work with young people, schools and nature.
“A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored us, to our fantastic team of walkers, and to Brian Davies and the Rotary Club of Romsey Test for organising such a well-run event.
“I’d definitely encourage people to sign up next year. There’s a choice of routes, the scenery is fantastic and it’s a great way to support a cause you care about while spending a day outdoors.”
