COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER FOR SUCCESSFUL ANDOVER TREES UNITED AUCTION OF PROMISES

Supporters, volunteers, businesses and residents gathered at Wherwell Village Hall on Friday 22nd May for Andover Trees United’s biggest and most popular annual fundraiser – the Auction of Promises!

The enjoyable and successful evening celebrated a fantastic success in raising funds for Children’s Access to Nature, bringing the community together for a night filled with generosity, laughter and local spirit. Guests bid on a wonderful range of donated experiences, gifts and local treats to raise funds for The Diamond Woods and the charity’s ever growing work with children and young people.

Funds raised from the evening will directly support children via Andover Trees United’s educational, wellbeing and conservation programmes. Including  outdoor learning opportunities, work with local schools, children’s conservation activities, the annual graduate ecology internship and Tall Tales & Seasonal Stories - the charity’s holiday activity programme with the amazing storyteller Amanda Kane Smith.

The charity continues to make a positive impact across the Andover community by helping children and young people build confidence, friendships and wellbeing through connection with nature, outdoor experiences and environmental learning, while also helping inspire the next generation to care for the planet.

The organisers thank everyone who donated, volunteered, attended, sponsored and supported the event, describing the evening as a wonderful example of community coming together to support local children, education, health, wellbeing and the environment. So much goes on behind the scenes and we absolutely value all who contributed.

Here are some photographs from the evening capturing the fantastic atmosphere and strong local support behind the charity’s work.
