Young Explorers Bring the Awongalema Tree to Life at Harmony Woods
Last Thursday, the first Summer 2025 Nature Explorers session at Harmony Woods (Diamond Wood) was a morning brimming with discovery, creativity, and laughter.
Our young adventurers were welcomed into the shade of the woods for a story that set the tone for the day — the enchanting tale of the Awongalema Tree, told with warmth and wonder by Natalia. Inspired by the story, the children set out on a woodland forage, searching high and low for natural treasures. Guided by Matt, they transformed their finds into beautiful, imaginative Awongalema Trees of their very own.
After a well-earned snack, the fun continued with lively parachute and team games that had everyone laughing and working together before it was time to head home.
A huge thank you goes to our wonderful young explorers, our dedicated volunteers, and all the behind-the-scenes supporters. Your efforts make it possible for the children of Andover to connect with the beauty of the natural world.
There are still spaces available for our upcoming Nature Explorers sessions this summer. To join the adventure, send us a direct message or visit our events page to book your place today!
