Andover Trees United Invites Community To Special “Auction of Promises” Evening
17th April, 2026 - Andover, Hampshire - Andover Trees United, the local charity dedicated to restoring woodland, protecting wildflower habitats and connecting people with nature, is inviting the community to a special evening of generosity and celebration at its upcoming Auction of Promises. Taking place on the 22nd May at Wherwell Village, tickets are now available to the public.
Based in Andover, the charity manages a 44-acre site of native woodland, chalk grassland and wildflower meadow, creating a thriving space for wildlife while also acting as a “living classroom” for local schools and residents. Through hands-on education, volunteer conservation days and community events, Andover Trees United is helping people of all ages understand and care for the natural world on their doorstep.
This spirit of community and connection sits at the heart of the Auction of Promises. Taking place this spring on May 22nd, the evening will bring together residents, local businesses and supporters for a memorable night of dinner, music and fundraising, all in support of the charity’s work.
The highlight of the event is a unique auction featuring an exciting mix of prizes and experiences. Generously donated by UK and local businesses, alongside “promises” from members of the community, the auction reflects the creativity and kindness of Andover itself.
From bespoke artwork and creative commissions to practical offers such as gardening help or even a lift to the airport, each promise is personal, thoughtful and rooted in community spirit.
“This event truly reflects what Andover Trees United is all about,” said Abbey Sadler, Community Engagement Officer at Andover Trees. “It’s about people coming together to support each other, to support nature, and to make a real difference locally.”
Funds raised on the night will directly support the charity’s ongoing work from planting and maintaining trees and restoring wildflower habitats, to delivering outdoor education with schools and hosting regular volunteer conservation days for the community.
At a time when biodiversity loss and climate challenges continue to grow, initiatives like this play a vital role in protecting local green spaces and inspiring future generations to care for them.
Guests attending the Auction of Promises can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with great food, live music and the excitement of the live auction, all set against a shared purpose.
Tickets are now available, and early booking is encouraged.
