Announcing the New Logo for Andover Trees United
We’re thrilled to unveil a fresh new look for Andover Trees United!
As part of our current strategic planning, the charity has taken time to reflect on how we communicate our mission and impact. While tree planting remains at the heart of what we do, our work today extends far beyond that - from fostering community engagement and supporting biodiversity, to encouraging sustainable living and nature connection. With this broader focus, it became clear that our visual identity needed to grow alongside us.
A Look Back at Our Roots
Back in 2011, when the project first began, we invited children and young people from across Andover and its surrounding villages to help shape our identity. They were asked to suggest a name and design a logo that captured the spirit of community, youth, and a shared commitment to trees and the environment.
The name Andover Trees United was born from that process, and the original logo, designed by 10-year-old Omar Darby and selected from hundreds of entries by then Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Chris Lynn, has been a cherished symbol of our journey ever since. It represented children and trees growing together, side by side.
BRANCHING OUT into the Future
Now, over a decade later, Harmony Woods is flourishing. Thousands of trees have been planted, and our charity’s work has branched out into education, advocacy, and long-term conservation. With these new developments, we felt it was time for our logo to evolve too - one that honours our origins while reflecting where we are today and where we’re headed.
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery, we were able to welcome Hannah Cantellow as our dedicated Marketing, PR and Communications Officer. One of her first projects was to revisit our mission and values and translate them into a refreshed visual identity that remains rooted in our founding ethos.
Introducing Our New Logo
After much collaboration and thoughtful consultation, we are proud to officially launch our new logo on May 1st, 2025 - marking the start of a month, that encapsulates growth, to continue our journey on raising awareness about the nature and climate crises and the actions we can all take to help.
Our new design celebrates everything we’ve achieved while opening a new chapter in our story. It’s a symbol of growth, unity, and enduring commitment to protecting our natural world.
We invite you to explore our new look, join us in our upcoming events and campaigns, and continue this journey with us, because while our logo may have changed, our mission remains the same: to connect people with nature and create a greener, healthier future for all.
