Event Description:
Join Andover Trees United and local schools for our Annual Schools’ Tree Planting, taking place at Bury Hill Meadows Nature Reserve. This year marks the fifth of planting at Bury Hill.
Students, volunteers, and local residents will help plant native hedgerows, learning about biodiversity, ecosystems, and conservation along the way. Every helping hand counts!
Volunteer Roles:
8:00 AM – Set-up Team
8:45 AM – 12:30 PM – Morning Planting Support
12:30 PM – 3:30 PM – Afternoon Planting Support
What to Bring:
Gardening gloves (if you don’t have any, we’ll provide them)
Weather-appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for mud
Packed lunch if staying all day
Facilities:
Porta-loos and hand-washing stations
Hot drinks & biscuits provided
Gazebo shelter
Parking & Access:
Limited on-site parking available; car-sharing, walking, or cycling encouraged.

This event is suitable for all volunteers aged 12+ (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). Volunteers will work alongside school staff and ATU team members to ensure the sessions run safely and smoothly.
