Week 4’s theme is: In the River: Freshwater Adventures

Dive into the wonderful world of rivers and discover the amazing wildlife that calls our freshwater habitats home.

In this creative, nature-themed activity, children will design and make their own hanging wildlife mobile featuring some of the UK's most fascinating river species, including kingfishers, dragonflies, otters, trout, frogs, and water voles.

As they craft, children will learn about the importance of healthy rivers and the plants and animals that depend on them. They'll explore how these species are connected and why protecting freshwater environments is vital for nature.

This fun and engaging activity combines creativity, learning, and a love of wildlife, with each child taking home a beautiful mobile inspired by the natural world.
