Tree Ents Nature Club - October's Session

DISCOVER YOUR WOOD! RISK DETECTIVES!

Introductory Session & Managing Risk

Saturday 10th October 2026
10:00am–12:30pm
The Diamond Wood, Andover

For ages 12–15 years
Keen and enthusiastic 11-year-olds may also be accepted.

Do you love exploring, discovering wildlife and being outdoors? Come along to the first Tree Ents & Skylarks Youth Club session, meet your session leader Kanchi and help shape this exciting new nature club!

What will we do?

We'll get to know each other and explore:

💭 What you hope to discover
🌳 What skills you'd like to learn
🌍 Your ideas for helping nature

You'll receive your own Nature Adventure Book to record your discoveries and progress towards the Junior Forester Award.

Then we'll head into the wood for a fun nature challenge! Expect wildlife hunting, exploring and plenty of opportunities to discover something new.

Become a Risk Detective!

We'll also start thinking like real ecologists and woodland workers.

As we explore, we'll look for hazards, discuss what is actually risky in the woods and think about how we can stay safe while still having fun.

You'll use your first experiences of The Diamond Wood to create your own simple woodland risk assessment.

Your Ideas Matter!

This is a tester session, so we want to hear what you think!

Your ideas and interests will help shape future Tree Ents & Skylarks sessions alongside the challenges needed to achieve the Junior Forester Award.

Come and explore, discover and help build the Youth Club from the very beginning!
