Event Description:
Join Andover Trees United and local schools for our Annual Schools’ Tree Planting, taking place at Bury Hill Meadows Nature Reserve. This year marks the fourth and final year of planting at Bury Hill, making it a truly special opportunity to leave a lasting legacy for the local community and the environment.

Students, volunteers, and local residents will help plant native trees and hedgerows, learning about biodiversity, ecosystems, and conservation along the way. Every helping hand counts!

Volunteer Roles:

  • 8:00 AM – Set-up Team

  • 8:45 AM – 12:30 PM – Morning Planting Support

  • 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM – Afternoon Planting Support

What to Bring:

  • Gardening gloves (if you don’t have any, we’ll provide them)

  • Weather-appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for mud

  • Packed lunch if staying all day

Facilities:

  • Porta-loos and hand-washing stations

  • Hot drinks & biscuits provided

  • Gazebo shelter

Parking & Access:
Limited on-site parking available; car-sharing, walking, or cycling encouraged.

Additional Info:
This event is suitable for all volunteers aged 12+ (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). Volunteers will work alongside school staff and ATU team members to ensure the sessions run safely and smoothly.
