Climate Action Campaign results!

Just a quick update to say a big THANK YOU to all who donated, shared and supported us in the GlobalGiving Climate Action Campaign last month.

As a charity and as a community we have gained so many positives from the experience. With your help, we raised over £6000 and received a total of 141 votes over the course of the week – meaning we finished 8th out of 127 projects worldwide! We are so incredibly grateful.

This result surpassed all of our expectations, it just goes to show that environmental action IS important to us all, and with many helping hands, we CAN make a difference.  

Reaching the top 10 gave us the opportunity to submit a ‘pitch’ to the other top-10 projects, in a bid to become part of the 2020 Climate Action Fund cohort.

As we honestly didn’t expect to be in this position, we hadn’t prepared our pitch!

This meant we had just the weekend to pull something together - and yet again, the community of Andover stepped forward to offer their help.

We reached the top 10 on Friday, and by the following Monday, we had scripted, recorded, and edited a short video! (see below).
Again, a huge thank you is needed for all of you who helped with the production of this video.

Unfortunately, our project wasn't selected to be part of the Climate Action Fund cohort of 2020. However, we needn’t feel disheartened. - Reaching the top 10 worldwide, making a video from scratch in 2 days and raising over £6000 over the week is something to be proud of!
