October 2020

I’m very happy to be part of the #OneAshTree project from @andover_trees. ‘Ashley’ (my working name for my section of the tree) and I will be out meeting people again soon at the #AshTreeStream exhibition at @casartists
.
Taking a section of the trunk out to meet people has been a really interesting way to engage people in conversation about Ash trees and Ash Die Back Disease. By holding the section of trunk, feeling the textures, counting the rings, and breathing in the scent, unexpected thoughts, feelings and memories have emerged to be shared and explored between us.

APRIL 2021 - Update

My work was put on hold during the lockdown as the plan was to take my section out to meet different people to spark conversations.

I still plan on doing this, working within covid restrictions.

I’m planning on taking him/her along to an event from October 31 to November 2 at Dartington Hall in South Devon, England. The event, called ‘Borrowed Time’, is where I’ll be running a workshop on creative engagement with Ash Trees/Ash Die Back
