Revised Cabin Plans

The plans for the conversion of the steel containers have been revised in accordance with a structural engineer’s report and submitted for planning approval. Visually, there is little difference between the two sets of drawings; the revised proposal sees the weight of the roof being borne by oak pillars on either side of the containers, rather than by the containers themselves.

We hope to receive a formal decision from Test Valley planning department by early 2019. If approved, we will be in a position to continue fundraising with a view to starting work in the summer of 2019.

Summer 2019 update: planning paperwork took much longer than expected and applying to funders not possible till the paperwork from planners is completed. So summer 2020 is new start date, IF we can raise the funds in time. We need lots of help with this, so please support our funding efforts where you can. Thank you.
